ANCHOR SECTION FUN NIGHT - FRIDAY 11TH MAY 2012
In line with our continuing commitment to improve the offering for our Anchor Section, at the Boys’ request, we are having an Anchor Section Fun Night in the usual hall on Friday 11th May 2012. Please note we will start at our usual time of 6pm and continue to share in fun and fellowship until 9pm.
The evening will consist of the following:
v The usual favourites fun and games;
v Eating and drinking - McDonalds© Happy Meal™;
v Short Movie and popcorn.

BB WEEKEND - ANCHOR SECTION INFORMATION
Dear Friends,
ANCHOR SECTION FUN DAY – SATURDAY 19 MAY 2012 (2PM – 4PM)
In line with our continuing commitment to improve the offering for our Anchor Section, we are involving the Boys in Solway Battalion’s Annual Athletics Championship at David Keswick Athletic Centre on Saturday 19 May from 2pm until 4pm.
The Boys will participate in fun and games with Anchor Boys from other Companies in the Battalion as well as having the opportunity to try out some Athletics sporting games on the afternoon.
There will be a family fundraiser BBQ taking place for the duration of the afternoon and Parents/Carers are more than welcome and encouraged to attend, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy a burger or two! You never know the sun might just shine(!)
CHURCH SERVICE – SUNDAY 20 MAY 2012 (10.30AM – 12PM)
This year Dr. Bond has been the Battalion Chaplain and with this responsibility it falls on 2nd Dumfries and St. Michael’s & South Parish Church to host the annual Solway Battalion Church Service. This Service will be very much led by The Boys’ Brigade in an attempt to aim the service at the youngsters and will be accompanied by a Praise Band! Boys attending will gain points towards the badgework structure and are asked to meet (in FULL uniform) in the Church Hall at 10.30am. Family and Friends more than welcome to stay for the service (finishing at 12pm).

The time of year has come again for 2nd Dumfries to host activities in the town for our own members and members of our partner Companies within the Dumfriesshire Area.
SOLWAY BATTALION ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – SATURDAY 19 MAY 2012 (11.30AM-4PM)
The above event will take place on Saturday 19 May 2012 at The David Keswick Athletic Centre from 11.30am (Registration) until 4pm.
